Overnight canyon fishing charters are for experienced, avid anglers looking for an absolutely unique experience. The charter customarily begins by leaving the dock at about 6:00 am on day one. The transit to the fishing grounds varies from 3 to 5 hours depending on the precise destination. We usually troll the canyon flats and walls throughout the afternoon and evening until dusk. During the overnight hours we bait fish and jig while either anchored or drifting. In the morning we go back to trolling, and pick up by 10:00 am, for the voyage home.

Depending on conditions, some of the transit times to and from the canyons may include high speed trolling. This is an exciting way to expand on the fisheries available.

Target species for the overnight canyon charter include yellowfin, bluefin, albacore, and big-eye tunas; white and blue marlins; mahi-mahi; wahoo; swordfish; mako and thresher sharks. And, who know what else you may encounter in the canyons!

Many factors go into planning for an overnight canyon trip. In making decisions about where and when to go, we use detailed up-to-date weather models, satellite water temperature and clarity charts, and the latest fishing knowledge available. In the event that weather or other conditions make a canyon trip un-safe or un-desirable, we will make recommendations for alternative offshore plan(s) or dates, with appropriate adjustments to price. We understand that “life happens”, and just ask for as much flexibility as possible in our efforts to accommodate. Of course, if we cannot end up going at all, then the deposit is fully refunded.
