Aerie One is a 36 foot “Runaway Royale” express style sportfishing machine. She was constructed in Point Pleasant NJ, and is based on the Down East Style Harris-36 Hull. The vessel was designed and built specifically for offshore sportfishing, and is equipped with up-to-date navigation, communication and fish-finding equipment. A full re-power was done in 2018, installing modern clean burning Twin-300-HP main engines and a new 5.5 KW generator. The upgraded power plant enables the vessel to comfortably cruise at 20+ knots, putting her on the fishing grounds in good time.

The Main Deck on Aerie One is open, spacious and all about fishing. It includes a live bait well and generous insulated storage for ice and fish. The raised Helm Deck is ideal for spotting fish and other surface activity while providing for comfortable seating out of the weather. Below decks, the galley includes a microwave oven, refrigerator and Keurig coffee machine. There is a V-Berth and one side bunk for folks to take a respite from the sun. The enclosed head (bathroom) is clean and well maintained.

Captain Buzz is a USCG licensed Chief Engineer as well as Master, with a background in Marine Engineering. He personally oversees the maintenance and upgrades of Aerie One, ensuring that she continues to meet or exceed USCG and ABYC Safety and Construction Standards.

Captain Buzz Smart has been commercial and sport fishing with Aerie One since acquiring her in 1988. Together, over the past 35+ years, they have caught fish in the Atlantic waters from New Hampshire to South Carolina. During the summer months, Buzz and Aerie One are found fishing daily from Snug Harbor, RI.

Buzz’s favorite saltwater fish is the elusive Wahoo, followed closely by the mighty Alison Yellowfin and Giant Bluefin Tunas. The refrigerator on board is always stocked with soy and wasabi. Let’s go fish!!!
